Who will come out on top in Week 15?
60
Season Record so far:
Week 10: 9-7
Week 11: 9-5
Week 12: 13-3
Week 13: 10-6
Week 14: 12-4
Jaguars (4-9) at Falcons (8-5): Who are these Jaguars? They were unrecognizable on offense in their lashing of the Bucs. I said they wouldn’t win because they couldn’t pass and Blaine Gabbert goes out there and throws for 217 with two touchdowns, nothing special but got the job done in sequence with two rushing touchdowns from the reliable horse Maurice Jones-Drew. Atlanta almost fell into the Carolina trap until Matt Ryan took his team in hand and mounted a comeback for the ages, throwing four touchdown passes on route to a 31-23 victory. The Jaguars success last week is all nice and good but Atlanta will be brimming with confidence coming into this game. Falcons should be able to control this game with great passing from Matt Ryan. (Go with the Falcons)
Cowboys (7-6) at Buccaneers (4-9): Tampa Bay is coming off a big time loss to the Jaguars and it’s starting to look like they are coming apart at the seams. Josh Freeman isn’t throwing touchdown passes very often anymore and their offense is becoming one dimensional. If their defence gave up 41 points to Jacksonville, I’m afraid of what the Cowboys offense will do to them. That being said, Dallas comes into town without Demarco Murray and without very much confidence. They’ve lost two straight games in the 4th quarter and their defence doesn’t seem to be able to hold up in the clutch. Luckily for them they’ll face a Bucs team that appears ready to pack it in for the season. (Go with the Cowboys)
Panthers (4-9) at Texans (10-3): Carolina are classic quick starters this season and then their inexperience does them in as the games move along. This completely natural with a young quarterback and once they get that figured out they’ll be a force to be reckoned with. I predict they make the playoffs next season. Houston are masters of finding ways to win no matter who they have under center. T.J Yates threw for 300 yards and 2 touchdowns in their defeat of the Bengals last week which is pretty darn impressive for a third string quarterback. They must have a very effective offensive system in place that allows people to step in and have success. Having a running back of the calibre of Arian Foster doesn’t hurt any either. Expect Carolina to possibly jump out to an early lead but be defeated in the end by a more experienced team. (Go with the Texans)
Redskins (4-9) at Giants (7-6): Washington actually bounced back last week and battled hard against New England, only to fall short 34-27. They’re always dangerous on offense with Rex Grossman at the helm but you never quite know what to expect. There’s a huge lack of consistency with this team and their record exemplifies it. New York made one heck of a statement in Dallas on Sunday night that they aren’t going away this season. Eli Manning’s statement that he is a top 5 quarterback in the NFL has followed him around all season and for good measure. The Giants have had their ups and downs this season but they sit 1st in their division right now because Eli Manning is lights out in the 4th quarter and that’s the sign of a great of a great quarterback. He took that team on his back in Dallas and brought them back with only a few minutes left on the cock. (Go with the Giants)
Dolphins (4-9) at Bills (5-8): The last time these two teams met the result was a dominant victory for Miami. The Bills have not won a game in forever and there is no guarantee that they’ll win again this season. Buffalo fans must be truly disappointed in this strange season. Why would the team give them all this hope early in the season only to subsequently fall apart? Miami had been going well but is coming off a defeat to Philadelphia and the firing of head coach Tony Sporano. This is actually a pretty tough one to call but I have to believe Miami will play hard in their first game with the interim head coach. (Go with the Dolphins)
Seahawks (6-7) at Bears (7-6): Seattle is amazingly in the playoff hunt with some impressive wins in recent weeks thanks in large part to excellent play from Tavaris Jackson and Marshawn Lynch. Tavaris Jackson has grown since his time in Minnesota and is playing like a veteran. Marshawn Lynch is a power runner that never quits and wears down opposing defences over the course of games. Chicago is in big trouble because Caleb Hanie is not creating enough offense to win games. They fell victim to Tim Tebow 4th quarter magic last week because they could not build up a bigger lead throughout the course of the game. Without Cutler and Forte Chicago won’t go very far. Watch out for the rising Seahawks this week as they roll into Chicago on a mission. (Go with the Seahawks)
Saints (10-3) at Vikings (2-11): New Orleans continues roll the # one passing attack in football led by quarterback Drew Brees. They are coming off a game that came down to the wire against Jake Locker and the Titans. The Saints look ready to face Green Bay in the playoffs and I bet they can’t wait. Minnesota played tough against the Lions but Christian ponder still has a significant learning curve to work through before he learns how to win games in this league. (Go with the Saints)
Bengals (7-6) at Rams (2-11): Cincinnati continues to lose football games and one wonders how stable their confidence is at this point, especially when speaking of rookie quarterback Andy Dalton. It has to be heart breaking to lose by one point to the Texans in a game they had every chance of winning. St Louis is involved in a never ending downward spiral and it shows in the body language of Sam Bradford. I am not too sure what is up with him because he has a couple weapons but doesn’t seem to do anything with confidence. I think this is a player that has to do some off season soul searching to figure out what is going on and fix it because we know the talent is there. (Go with the Bengals)
Titans (7-6) at Colts (0-13): I believe that Jake Locker is ready to take over as full time starting quarterback for Tennessee. The team seems to have made it clear that Matt Hasselbeck is the starter unless of injury but they will eventually have to face the reality that Jake can take this team to new heights if given the opportunity. Either way it won’t matter this week against an Indianapolis team that is in hell without Peyton Manning. (Go with the Titans)
Packers (13-0) at Chiefs (5-8): I’ve been waiting all season to see if Ryan Grant could regain some of his previous abilities and finally he put some on display against Oakland. It’s a shame that he got the opportunity do to an injury to starter James Starks but having two good backs only helps open up the passing attack that much more. I think this season end and playoffs will prove very exciting as we all tune in to see the mighty Packers run the table and repeat or get slain by a courageous opponent. The key to beating them will be airing it out and it won’t be the Chiefs that do it. (Go with the Packers)
Lions (8-5) at Raiders (7-6): Carson Palmer has lost his game in a big way and it’s frightening to watch. Both these teams are tremendously difficult to gage making this matchup quite the quandary. On one hand you have a Raiders team that fell apart over the past two weeks but looked quite solid prior to that. On the other hand you have a Lions team that can’t stand up to the big teams in this league and is even starting to have trouble with lesser teams such as Minnesota last week. I predict Carson Palmer continues to fall apart this weekend. (Go with the Lions)
Patriots (10-3) at Broncos (8-5): Ok this has to be a streak stopper for Denver unless of lest I say another Tim Tebow miracle! Tim Tebow actually threw for 226 yards last week but couldn’t generate any points until the 4th quarter and I have to imagine that New England will have a good enough lead built up by that point in this game. The Patriots coaching staff is too intelligent to fall into the same traps the Broncos previous opponents have. (Go with the Patriots)
Jets (8-5) at Eagles (5-8): This should be a great game considering Michael Vick is back and played well last week. I continue to believe that Philly is much better than their record and I’m sure New York will not come into this game over confident. The Jets have been playing well of late and Mark Sanchez seems to have gotten much of his confidence back. I think the Eagles secondary will be a nightmare for him on Sunday and Philly will play the role of spoiler. (Go with the Eagles)
Browns (4-9) at Cardinals (6-7): Arizona keep impressing me with their upsets of great teams this season. I wonder if we can still call them upsets at this point. John Skelton found Larry Fitzgerald multiple times in a great defeat of the 49ers last week. Here they are this Sunday with an opportunity to move to a .500 record on the season. The Browns organization faced question this week as to why Colt McCoy was allowed back into the game after taking a big helmet to helmet hit from Steelers linebacker James Harrison. This is just another negative in another overall bad season for Cleveland. (Go with the Cardinals)
Ravens (10-3) at Chargers (6-7): Baltimore are a force to be reckoned with in this league and have to be considered one of the best teams in the NFL. They’ve been upset a couple times this year but they’ve won some huge games, most notably twice against Pittsburgh and the Thanksgiving Day matchup with the 49ers. Every game is a must win for San Diego as they are on life support at this point in the playoff race. Philip Rivers has all his weapons healthy and he is playing some well over the last couple weeks. A great team with their backs against the wall are challenging to defeat. (Go with the Chargers)
Steelers (10-3) at 49ers (10-3): The 49ers are a team struggling to regain the confidence they had before the Ravens loss. The offense isn’t driving very well as we saw in their surprising loss to the Cardinals last week. This is a gigantic statement game for both teams and more of the pressure falls onto San Francisco because they have failed to defeat a really top team of yet this season. If they want to be respected as a Super Bowl contender heading into the playoffs, they have to defeat Pittsburgh on Monday night. The same story keeps repeating itself with Ben Roethlisberger, he’s always got some sort of ailment that could put his play in jeopardy but he generally comes out and puts up great performances in these situations. I believe he feeds off this warrior persona and who wouldn’t in a testosterone infused league such as the NFL. The Steelers defence will shut down a struggling San Francisco offense and Big Ben will come through despite injury yet again. (Go with the Steelers)

Yep you got them correct....I wish I would have paid better attention....I am in a Yahoo Sports Pick'Em.....and my nice cushion on first place took a huge hit this week as I am current 7-8 for the week. Hoping the Steelers enjoy the West Coast more than the Ravens did...lol.
Beautiful
I think I agree with 12 of your 16 picks....2(Seahawks/Bears and Lions/Raiders) I am not sure which way to go ....and 2 that I am going the other way...I think the Bills will end their losing streak and beat the Dolphins....and I have faith that the real Ravens will make the trip to San Diego and take down the Chargers....hopefully the Raven team that went to Seattle and Jacksonsville is not going to San Diego. Voted up and interesting.

Oh no, That 49ers win didn't help you any I suppose. I was surprised by their strong performance. This puts them right back up there with the big guns.
